Terms and conditions

Last updated: 28 July 2026

1. Legal entity and cooperative conversion

Climate Cooperative currently operates as Cooperative pending formal incorporation. That entity is in the process of converting into a registered cooperative. Read this section before you make a payment.

  • Contributions made today are collected by, and are a contract with, the current legal entity named below.
  • Once the cooperative entity is formally registered, existing members will be migrated to it. You do not need to do anything for that migration.
  • If your rights or your status as a member change through that conversion, we will notify you before the change takes effect.
  • Until the conversion is complete, membership does not grant formal cooperative voting rights, governance rights or statutory member rights. It gives you a membership number, the trees your contribution funds with their plot and coordinates, a personal impact dashboard and member updates.
  • Membership is not a share, not a financial product, not a carbon offset and gives no expectation of financial return.

1a. Who we are

Climate Cooperative organises collective restoration planting. This portal lets you become a member, follow your trees and invite others. By creating an account or making a payment you accept these terms.

2. Membership and payments

Membership is a recurring payment, charged monthly or yearly through our payment provider. Prices are shown in euro and include VAT. A one-time contribution is a single payment that does not renew. It activates your membership for one year, since the minimum contribution is one tree per year.

Each 10 euro funds five trees and shrubs planted as part of a food forest system, together with the nursery work, planting and monitoring around them. That is 2 euro per tree. If you commit to a full year, you pay for eleven months and receive twelve months of trees, so one month is free.

These prices apply to the current planting batch, the first batch of 1,000 trees. Prices are reviewed after each batch and can change for the next one, depending on land, nursery and planting costs. Any change applies only to payments made after it takes effect. Trees you have already funded keep the price you paid, and a running yearly membership keeps its price until it renews.

3. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a recurring membership at any time from your member settings. Cancellation stops future payments; planting already funded still goes ahead and stays linked to your account. Payments for planting already carried out are not refundable. Consumers in the EU have a 14 day withdrawal right on a first payment, unless planting has already started at your request.

4. What we do not guarantee

Restoration is biological work in a real landscape. We do not guarantee the survival of an individual tree, a specific growth rate, a specific amount of carbon captured, a specific planting date or a specific location. Figures such as up to 3.5 tonnes of CO2 per tree over twenty years, 12.5 square metres of land per tree, and biodiversity or family impact are project averages and modelled estimates.

Trees that do not survive are replaced within the project where reasonably possible. Membership does not create ownership of land or trees, is not a financial product, and gives no expectation of financial return. It is not a carbon offset and should not be used to make compliance claims.

5. Your account

Keep your login details safe and give accurate information. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse of the invite programme or unlawful activity.

5a. Member rewards and the raffle

Invites do not earn free trees. For every five invited people who start a paying membership, you receive one entry in the raffle for a place on a member field trip to Brazil. The cooperative adds one raffle place for every 10,000 trees sold. A raffle entry is a chance, not a guaranteed trip; travel dates, insurance, visas and any costs not stated in the raffle announcement are the winner's responsibility. Members who fund 100 trees or more receive one agroforestry starter system per 100 trees, shipped within the countries we can ship to. Entries and rewards are personal, have no cash value and cannot be traded. We can change or end the programme for future periods and will tell members before we do.

6. Changes and applicable law

We can update these terms. Material changes are communicated to members before they take effect. Dutch law applies. See also our privacy statement and cookie statement.
