Started by two stubborn Dutch founders

Climate Cooperative was started by two Dutch founders who kept running into the same thing: plenty of good intentions, very little proof. So we built the opposite. Plots are surveyed and planted before they are sold, every member gets coordinates, and the numbers we publish are ones we can defend.

We are stubborn about two things. Restoration has to pay the people who do the work, and members have to be able to check what happened with their money. Everything else, from the membership card to the shared forest map, exists to keep those two promises visible.

One off tree buying produces one good photo. A forest needs seed collection, nursery work, planting crews, replanting and years of monitoring, and all of that runs on predictable funding. A membership gives our partners something they can plan around, and it gives you an impact that keeps compounding instead of ending at checkout.

Transparency is the other half. Plots in the current batch were surveyed and planted before they were sold, each with coordinates, species and a batch number. You can check what your contribution funded rather than trust a claim. Where a number is modeled, we say so and show the reasoning on the methodology page.
