Across the Cuvette Centrale in the Republic of the Congo and Democratic Republic of the Congo, waterlogged swamp forests have built deep peat from partly decomposed leaves, roots and wood. Raphia palms occupy many wetter areas; drainage or longer dry periods expose peat to oxygen, allowing stored organic matter to decay.

GGN Mastering Credit B.V. published a LinkedIn post about working with us: "Sinds twee maanden werken we samen met Climate Cooperative. Via hun programma investeren we in voedselbossen in het Amazonegebied van Brazilie." They funded food forests covering their bailiff mileage and the next twenty years of expected emissions, with harvests staying with the local communities managing the land.
