These prices apply to Batch 01. Pricing is reviewed after every batch, so it can change for the next one. Trees you have already funded keep the price you paid. The cooperative will be formally incorporated as membership grows; see Terms for current structure.
Questions
What people ask before joining
Who checks that the trees are planted and survive? Planting is carried out by local partners, Rioterra, Agroforestree and local farming families in Para, Rondonia and the Mata Atlantica. Plots are surveyed and recorded with GPS coordinates before they are assigned, and partners monitor survival and replanting in the seasons that follow. Verification does not stop with us: the projects are certified under the Global Carbon Standard, which requires validation and verification by accredited independent bodies (VVBs), universities take part in monitoring and field sampling, and because every plot has published coordinates the sites can be checked against public satellite data by anyone.
